These conversations were not designed to test a pre-existing framework. They were a listening journey — six gatherings asking what God seems to be using across very different city contexts. Two types of discovery kept recurring: practices that seemed transferable, and practices unique to each context. The TRUST language emerged through the journey itself.
These field notes were curated through a human-led, AI-assisted editorial process using transcripts, presentations, and source material from the deep dives. AI helped synthesize patterns; final framing and editorial responsibility remain human-led.
South AsiaMapping Kolkata: when red zones turn yellow
One of the first conversations in the series. JP's team had spent years mapping Kolkata's pin codes — finding more than a hundred with no church presence. Made visible, the gaps became shared responsibility. Prayer, long obedience, patient city understanding: early signals, recognised more clearly later.

OceaniaFrom "my church" to "we church"
One of the early conversations. A moment near a park reoriented Greig's entire frame: not church growth, but love for the city. "My church" became "we church." Oneness tables became the railway tracks on which mission moves — patterns we came to recognise more fully as the journey continued.

North AmericaRoots before fruit: ecosystems, not isolated ministries
An early conversation, and one of the most carefully documented. North America offered hard-won evidence of what makes city movements last — or fail: soil before fruit, trunk health before branch reach, and a coaching posture that draws wisdom out. Signals we would name more precisely as the journey continued.

Latin AmericaTrust, trust, trust — the currency of the kingdom
From hard-won lessons in Guatemala City came the earliest articulation of the pathway: the city before the programme, relationships before structures, and local leaders who reproduce in new cities with their own flavour. José Durán's sustained emphasis on trust — before anyone had named it — helped give the emerging language its shape.

EuropeFrom the margins, the city needs one another
What we heard from Europe did not confirm the emerging pathway — it stretched it. In post-Christendom soil, Piet calls for an "exegesis of the city." Migrant churches in Amsterdam Southeast reframed themselves as missionaries to a secular city. The language held — but it had to prove itself.

AfricaA harvest across 40 cities — Africa completes the series
The sixth and final conversation. The Movement Day Africa Team brought voices from some 40 cities — stories of prayer, unity, and long perseverance that confirmed the patterns the journey had been surfacing. They completed the picture, and added their own African accents in doing so.
